Grown in northwestern Spain and northern Portugal, it’s celebrated in Spain as Albariño and in Portugal as Alvarinho. The day highlights the cultural and historical importance of this grape and invites wine lovers around the world to raise a glass.

International Beer Day* (First Friday in August) began in 2008 and quickly became a global celebration. It was designed to honor beer in all its forms and the people who brew and serve it.
