Working with national days comes with a definite upside: there’s always something I can celebrate. The other day, I realized I should put together a list of the coziest fall national days and decided to do just that. After all, I can’t be the only one who enjoys celebrating them as much as I do.

Fall is probably my favorite season. There’s something about fall that makes me breathe a little deeper. The trees changing colors and the crunch of leaves when you go out for a walk is something that I will never grow tired of. Then the air cools, the days shorten, and suddenly, home becomes the coziest place in the world.

And while I’m not saying anyone should celebrate every single “national day” that comes around, I wanted to share some of the most fall-y ones with you. So here it is: a list of the coziest fall national days, perfect for anyone who loves the season as much as I do.

🍁 September

In September the mornings turn cooler and I find myself craving slower days and warmer moments at home. Out of all the national days in September, I have picked my favorites, the ones that remind me why I love this season so much.

First there’s National Wildlife Day because it’s the perfect reminder to step outside and enjoy how beautiful nature looks when it starts to change. Then there’s National Read a Book Day because who doesn’t love reading a good book under a warm blanket? I also added days for cozy, hygge creativity, like International Crochet Day and National Coloring Day, and a few food and drink days like National Chai Day and National Apple Dumpling Day. Which ones are your favorites?

🎃 October

October is when fall truly settles in. It’s also the month of Halloween, adding a touch of fun and a hint of magic to the season. Many of the homey national days I’ve picked for October connect to Halloween in one way or another. There’s plenty of pumpkin on the menu, of course (National Pumpkin Seed DayNational Pumpkin Spice Day, and more), but also a few cozy home activities like crocheting and knitting for I Love Yarn Day.

🦃 November

November is for most people the season for warm kitchens, soft lights, and slow weekends. It’s a great time for baking, playing games, and simply spending time together with friends and family.

The month starts with two—umm, scent-centered—national days: National Cinnamon Day and Scented Candle Day. A bit later there’s National Homemade Bread Day, which gives everyone the perfect excuse to practice their bread-baking skills ahead of Thanksgiving. I have also chosen National Play Monopoly Day to add a bit of fun to the list. Out of the many food days in November, National Peanut Butter Fudge Day and National Gingerbread Cookie Day made the cut. And finally, there’s Thanksgiving, which nicely bookends this list of cozy national days in the fall.

November 1 – National Cinnamon Day

November 1 – Scented Candle Day.

November 17 – National Homemade Bread Day

November 19 – National Play Monopoly Day

November 20 – National Peanut Butter Fudge Day
