National coffee holidays are getting more and more popular every year. This is no surprise considering that there are over 1,000,000,000 (one billion) daily coffee drinkers in the world. Drinking coffee is something that unites the globe. We meet someone over coffee – not a glass of milk. Coffee is universally accepted as the number one caffeinated drink and, unlike energy drinks, it is totally natural.

2025 will most probably be the biggest year for coffee related national days so far. We’ve brewed up this guide, a one-stop-shop for all 26 national coffee days, plus national coffee weeks, and national coffee months of the year.

World’s Biggest Coffee Morning (UK)

World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on September 29 in the UK is an annual fundraising event that supports people affected by cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support launched the initiative in 1990, inviting individuals, workplaces, and communities to host coffee gatherings and donate the proceeds. The event has grown into a major national effort; in 2020 it raised about £10 million. The observance highlights how a simple cup of coffee can bring people together to fund vital services and offer practical help to those facing cancer.

Meeting over a cup of coffee removes the formality of traditional encounters and allows people to ask questions, share concerns, and learn more about how their local police serve the community.

National Frappé Day on October 7, celebrates the refreshing, frothy coffee drink known for its creamy texture and energizing kick. The modern coffee frappé began in Greece in 1957 when Nescafé representative Dimitris Vakondios experimented with instant coffee and created a cold, shaken blend that quickly gained popularity. National Gingerbread Latte Day on December 15 celebrates the warm mix of ginger, nutmeg, and steamed milk that instantly feels like the holidays. Even though Starbucks retired its Gingerbread Latte in the U.S. after 2019, the drink is still served in some cafés, and many people make their own versions at home. 19-26 January, 2025 (Fourth Week in January): National Irish Coffee Week

Calling all Irish coffee enthusiasts – let’s kick off the year on a high note, one sip of Irish coffee at a time!

This month isn’t just about celebrating the National Irish Coffee Day, it also brings us the warmth of National Irish Coffee Week, observed on the fourth week in January. Imagine a week filled with the creamy, boozy delight of this beloved beverage. What’s that you say? Rename January as National Irish Coffee Month? Now that’s an idea we can raise our mugs to!

14-20 October, 2025: UK Coffee Week

How does one celebrate UK Coffee Week? Perhaps by drinking an extra cup of coffee every day? If you thought that UK Coffee Week was all about enjoying the hot beverage, you wouldn’t be totally wrong – it’s definitely a celebration of the drink we love. But, more importantly, it is a fundraising event that raises money for a good cause: Project Waterfall. Project Waterfall is a laudable charity that brings sanitation, clean water and education to coffee-growing communities around the world.

During UK Coffee Week, businesses are encouraged to fundraise together with their customers by donating money from cups of coffee served, or coffee-related products sold. We hope that many companies – and coffee-drinking customers – participate this year!

National Coffee Months 2025

While coffee weeks focus on short bursts of celebration, National Coffee Months in 2025 offer a longer time to savor this beloved drink. These months provide more opportunities to dive into coffee culture, from discovering unique origins to perfecting your brewing skills. With weeks and months dedicated to coffee, there’s no shortage of ways to celebrate its rich flavors and traditions.

National Caffeine Awareness Month – March

As much as we love coffee, it is good to remember about the effects caffeine has on our body. We are thankful for its invigorating effects, but at the same time we should keep in mind that there can be too much of a good thing. Some of the negative effects of caffeine include heartburn, nausea, and diarrhea. So, this March, drink coffee responsibly.

National Coffee Month – August

August may be a month with no specific national coffee days, but that’s only because there’s no need for them – it’s National Coffee Month! National Coffee Month can obviously be celebrated in numerous ways, but we’ll throw you a little challenge: try to have a different cup of coffee every day!
