National Parenting Education Day, is observed every first Friday in April — first celebrated on April 4, 2025. #NationalParentingEducationDay

Raising children is one of life’s greatest responsibilities, but it doesn’t come with an instruction manual. That’s where parenting education makes all the difference. From navigating toddler tantrums to supporting teens through life’s challenges, parenting educators provide research-backed guidance to help families thrive — giving parents the confidence and tools to raise happy, healthy children.

A Little History Formal parenting education programs began taking shape in the early 20th century as researchers studied child development and family dynamics. Today, organizations like the National Parenting Education Network (NPEN) advocate for making these resources widely accessible, with programs available in schools, communities, and online. Studies show that parents who receive guidance experience less stress, greater confidence, and stronger family bonds.

NPEN established National Parenting Education Day to highlight the vital role of parenting educators and encourage families to seek support. DigitalHygge partnered with NPEN to help launch this initiative and officially proclaimed April 4, 2025, as its first observance.
